Hi!
So- If you knew me- you would know that I am a young Christian girl who works at my church almost daily! You would also know that I just turned 18...
So thats where this story begins-
About three weeks ago I turned 18, after my birthday I realized I could finally go get my nose pierced, which is what i have been wanting to do for some time- so i sat down and had a long talk with my parents about it and I walked away, not being able to pierce my nose but my belly button. whhaaaaatttttt. How this happened, I am really not sure? Sure- having your belly button pierced would be cool to some people, but for me it was the nose that i really wanted done. I could go get it done, because I am 18...but thats not me. I am not rebellious in that sense....or am I?
Reasons behind my parents not wanting me to get my nose pierced is: everyone will stare at your nose aand not your face.
Reasons behind them being ok with my belly pierced: no one can see...
This situation keeps me thinking... be rebellious and get my nose done anyways...
Have nothing done for a while?
what......
Nose piercings are great. They really aren't too distracting. In fact people never even comment on mine, probably because they're so common now. You can buy little teeny studs too.
ReplyDeleteBelly button piercings are gross. Just sayin'... :P
I am not a fan of belly button piercings, either...but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteI am, however, a fan of good relationships with parents...but you are 18 now...so...that's quite a fine kettle of fish.
do they just prefer you not to pierce your face? but it wouldn't make it bad between you guys? Cause if that's the case, then maybe go for it. But if you think it would hurt your relationship, than maybe hold off for a bit still...
sorry, maybe I'm not much help!
love the blog, though:)
Or you could get your belly button pierced and cut all your shirts really short... okay bad idea. haha but I agree with Jess you don't want to purposefully make your parents angry, cause they can kick you out or not pay for school, those are not the only reasons but you see, you have the opportunity to have a great relationship with your rents. some people don't, like my dad is 1,000 miles away. I told him the other day that I got a tattoo and he isn't the most keen on tattoos (but he has one he got in the navy when he was 18) I told him and he didn't care! well he said as long as you don't get them all over your face! haha. so what is the real reason they don't want you to get it? prob cause they don't like it and they are worried what others will think of because of what they think. does that make sense? wow I can really blab on, sorry about that.
